Flick of the Week

Black Christmas is my very first flick of the week! I absolutely loved this movie. It actually scared me, and I haven't been really scared by a movie in a long time. The movie is about a group of sorority girls who are being terrorized by a psychopathic killer. They first receive weird phone calls, where a man is screaming strange things and talking in weird voices. Later, one of the girls goes missing, and the psychopath begins his killing spree. This movie has a little bit of gore, but not much. It relies on suspense to make it scary. There is some bad language, so if you're under 14, I wouldn't advise it. I just bought....

I just bought The Strangers on DVD!
I really enjoyed this movie. It wasn't the best, but it was pretty good. There is a lot of suspense that grows and grows before the climax of the film is reached. This film is about a man and a woman who have just returned home from a party. They hear a knock at the door and a girl asks for "Tamera," who is not there. The girl later comes back and asks for her again. The couple soon realizes that the girl is not going away, and neither are her two friends. There is brief sexuality, but no nudity. There is very little gore, except for some blood towards the end. So if you don't like watching people's guts fly everywhere, then I think you will enjoy this movie. Liv Tyler does a great job in portraying the terrified girlfriend. Super model Gemma Ward also does very well in playing a ruthless killer.
